For WW2 and more general historical roleplaying, you should Call of Cthulhu:
massively popular, its default setting is the inter war years, and requires only marginal changes to fit into either the great war, or WW2.
For futuristic:
The most heavily supported science fiction roleplaying games of our current time are shadowrun and the various fantasy flight 40k rpgs.
Both fall into the category of popular, both are still actively supported.
If your willing to go with something a little less well known, then you could go with eclipse phase, which is awesome

There are several World War Two supplements for GURPS. They're divided by army, iirc. There's also Behind Enemy Lines, though only if you're playing an American infantryman.
For Vietnam, there's Grunt: Roleplaying in the Vietnam WAr. Probably adaptable to some other post-WW2 settings. Recon, same period.
And there's Twilight 2000/2013, which is a bit more general late 20th/early 21st-century conflicts.
