Need Help with a Build

Advice

About to begin playing in a campaign that starts off at level 2. I'm interested in trying a character who's focused more on throwing weapons than anything else, knives in particular. I envision him as a sort of assassin-y guy, he'll likely be the party stealth character as well.

Any ideas for a character who might fit this little description?

What I have to work with is thus: 2nd level, point buy (15), core races only, no 3rd Party, and we're allowed to use any Paizo feat. Classes are from the Player's Handbook and the Advanced Player's Handbook.

A quick search for the "knife master" turns up a lot of threads on the same subject. There's just something about the idea of chucking knives that captures people's imagination - I'm one of those people too. ^__^

Hopefully those threads will be a good start, at least. In general, I don't advocate throwing every round, but it's great at the start of most encounters, when you win initiative and have a clear shot at opponents without allies in the way. And once your melee allies have engaged the enemy, there should be ample opportunities for flanking, at which point you TWF for that sweet, sweet backstabby goodness.

You'll want a good dex for accuracy, and a good str for damage.
I'd recommend take the first level as Fighter to pick up precise & point blank shot. For second level Fighter, Rogue, or Ninja are all excellent choices. You might want to aim for the Assassin prestige class, but to me it seems better for NPCs. Also consider the Shadow Dancer prestige class. You can get there with just fighter levels if you like.

Why vital strike? it is not the best feat to start with much less for a weapon with a low damage dice.

Because the scout archetype will only allow 1 attack and extra damage is extra damage. Would u honestly say that u would only want 1d4 damage instead of 3d4 damage especially when u only are doing 1 attack? Btw being able to SA when ever u move at least 10ft is great since it means u dont need to have a flanking partner or find some other way to deny the target its dex mod.
