Hey Everyone!

So I want to make a goblin-sorcerer I'm just not sure which faction would work better so I'm crowd-sourcing thoughts. He's a little fellow striving for power beyond what his maniacal little fellows could understand and so he left, for this I was thinking possibly Osirion but I'm not sure.

And yes I realize it's vague but all input is appreciated!

First question: Are you one of the very few that has a goblin boon? If not, you can't play a goblin PC.

First is the answer to eric's question, but if that sorcerer, whatever race he is, is after power mostly for himself and not really for his country then I'd suggest the Sczarni faction.

Additional class and race options from resources like the Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player’s Guide, Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Magic, Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Combat, Pathfinder RPG Advanced Race Guide, and Pathfinder Campaign Setting: The Inner Sea World Guide are generally available with few or no alterations, as well.

I took that from the latest "Guide to Pathfinder Society Organised Play" and it seems to lend credit to a vagueness that can be interpretted into allowing almost any race (some are obviously to powerful, although I'd say Aasimar is more powerful then goblin.)

I'm creating two characters, the goblin and another common race in case it can't be approved as backup, and I understand that even if the goblin is approved by the local GM it's a group by group basis I just think it's a fun idea.

For future reference, the PFS Additional Resources page is the go-to spot for "is this PFS legal" questions.

Unless you have a boon permitting play (and just about the only way to get them is to have won the Gen Con Special last year), then a goblin is not an allowed race for player characters.

The only legal race choices are from the Core Rulebook and aasimar, tengu, and tiefling, unless you have a convention boon allowing you to play another race. The section you quoted regarding class and race options refers to things such as archetypes, alternate racial traits, etc. Goblins are NOT legal for play.

Ah I see, they aren't very specific on what constitutes as the boon to play the race so thank-you Jonathan for a bit of an example on that. Good to know then, to bad. :)

If you were going top play a Goblin, it would have to be an Alchemist though :)
