Ok having a discussion with someone on feat requirments, to be specific Crane style feat.
Prerequisites: Dodge, Improved Unarmed Strike, base attack bonus +2 or monk level 1st.
I take that to mean a first level monk can take the feat and doesnt need anything else, he keeps saying that the 1 level of monk only gets rid of the +2 BAB nedded.
Can anyone clear this up and support the rulling please.

It is ambiguous, I agree, but the monk level simply replaces the BAB requirement. Monk levels often substitute for BAB requirements (see Flurry of Blows for a good example). All of the style feats (to my recollection) do the same thing.
The only time a character's level substitutes for all prerequisites is when a class feature says so, such as the ranger's combat feats.

Look at the comma in the feat.
You need both feats, and either BAB +2, or one level in Monk.
It is not ambiguous. This is how every feat with multiple prerequisites are set up. If you question it's grammar, look at other precedents within the book to set the guidelines.
Prerequisites are the Dodge Feat AND Improved Unarmed Strike Feat AND Your choice of either a +2 BAB or 1 level of Monk (which will incidentally get you that Improved Unarmed Strike Feat as well.)
