Apologies for not reading everything on this thread. Looks like some great advice. I would recommend (Even if it has been suggested before) that you consider taking Knowledge (Local) and Profession (XXXXXX) with out exception. The Knowledge (Local)is essential for making your way through PFS adventure modules. Profession (Fill in the blank) is also nearly essential from first level, certainly after attaining second. The "Day Job" roll after a PFS module is simply free cash, and CAN be the difference between sadness and that Magic Item you really want.
ALL of the Knowledge skills are useful, but this becomes apparent for everyone after their first session. Most, if not all, the Adventure Modules require interaction with NPC's and some level of investigation. Knowledge skills are essential for this. Having said that, understand that you are not alone. Other characters in your group will have some of the Knowledge skills to balance yours. Most folks in m area take a level of Rogue just to get the skills!
Enjoy!

Day job checks are usually not important enough to bother putting more than a handful skill ranks into Profession/Craft/Perform. One percent of WBL isn't worth it when you could be putting ranks into skills that will help you complete faction missions or survive scenarios.
In short, the Day Job is only free cash if you would have put those ranks into that skill anyway (roleplaying reasons, class abilities like bards or alchemists, or expectation that the skill would come in handy like Profession(sailor) ).

Yeah, if you're in a class that doesn't get many skill ranks, don't bother with a day job. My cleric and sorcerer characters don't have day jobs. My bards, on the other hand, use Perform for their skills with Versatile Performance, so they have good day jobs. With my barbarian, he gets enough ranks that I threw one or two into a profession just for kicks, but I've never gotten enough money to make a difference.

Well with this stuff you should think about attribute boni.
Clerics normally have a high WIS, so profession (whatever) with one skill rank should be 7 or 8 already. Using a MW tool you could get to 10 on level 1, perhaps after the first scenario when you can afford to buy one. Then you range between an income from 5-75 gp extra per scenario, probably worth one skill point i think.
I wouldn´t bother with professions or crafts that don´t get much boni i think. Better take one of the vanities then!

It does say lengthy post or threads. Though the thread will eventually be long, the individual posts shouldn't be, other than some GM intros and what not. Perhaps you can go to the PostMonster with that when asking for a variance. Also you offer to put a translation from say Google translate under a spoiler. It would be tedious, but might get you there.
