So looking for ways for a mid level monk to overcome cold iron DR, while sticking with the martial arts theme, I came across this weapon in the APG.
Brass Knuckles: These close combat weapons are designed to fit comfortably around the knuckles, narrowing the contact area and therefore magnifying the amount of force delivered by a punch. They allow you to deal lethal damage with unarmed attacks. You may hold, but not wield, a weapon or other object in a hand wearing brass knuckles. You may cast a spell with a somatic component while wearing brass knuckles if you make a concentration check (DC 10 + the level of the spell you're casting). Monks are proficient with brass knuckles and can use their monk unarmed damage when fighting with them
They are listed under Simple Weapons - Unarmed Attacks on the table in the book, and have the "Monk" special property.
I have a couple questions on how they would work for society play.
1. Is there any reason they can't be made masterwork, and give a +1 to hit?
2. Would Monk's "Ki Fist" ability work with them, so that they would count as magical for purposes of DR and incorporeality.

They would not work that way. They've been updated in UE to clearly be weapons and to not allow monks to use their unarmed damage with them.
1) They can be made masterwork...
2) No. Ki Fist is only for unarmed attacks, which these are not since they're weapons.
BUT that all doesn't matter due to this blog post.
At level 7, you overcome both silver and cold iron DR.
