Somewhere I remember an Alchemist who specialized in smearing his bombs on melee weapons, but I'll be darned if I can find it back. Anyone remember what book that particular goody lives in?

The Grenadier from the Pathfinder Society Field Guide can smear alchemical items (but not bombs) on weapons, if that's what you were thinking of.

The explosive missile discovery allows you to add your bombs to a ranged weapon, but not melee. There is a weapon property in UE that allows you to apply SU and SL abilities to weapons, but it doesn't allow you to add bombs to melee attacks, only ranged attacks.
