Hey guys, I have a player planning on rolling this and I have two quick questions.
1). Can he create a mutagen and give it to another player and then make a new one for himself? Or does the mutagen effect vanish from the other player when he makes a dose for himself?
2). When a player spends money on crafting potions, must he spend the money on the mats first or can he spend the money when he needs it? What I mean is - let's say that you're in a dungeon - you ran out of potions. Player wants to make more potions. Does he need to go back to town first to buy the mats? Or can he just make potions and deduct the appropriate cost?
I think I know how I'm going to rule it on both of these, but I'm just curious on what the official rule is on this. Thanks so much for any advice you can give. :)

Great on point 2. That's what I thought. I wasn't clear enough on point one. The other player imbibes the first dose and the mutagen takes affect for the 10 minutes. The alchemist makes another dose for himself. Does the mutagen go away from the affected first person? BTW I think it does, but my player had me going in circles about it. I just wanted to reach out to the community for a second opinion, before making a ruling.

I would say it does as well, the bolded part should make it clear.
An alchemist can only maintain one dose of mutagen at a time—if he brews a second dose, any existing mutagen becomes inert.
And if he wants to carry around more than 1 mutagen, have him take the infuse mutagen discovery, but it can get costly.
But let's say it doesn't go away for sake for example. If the alchemist is lv 1, someone else uses the mutagen, and the alchemist starts to make another. The first one would only last 10 min while it would take 60 min to create another. So it would be gone long before you even finish making the second one.

Thanks so much for the input. I honestly appreciate it. Still very new at running this system, but I think I'm getting there in time for our first session ;)
