Do inferior, cracked and normal ioun stones of the same type stack?

Rules Questions

For example, does a Flawed Pale Green Prism (+1 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, skill checks, and ability checks) stack with a Pale Green Prism (+1 competence bonus on attack rolls, saves, skill checks, and ability checks) or are they "the same source".

Or for example a Scarlet and Blue Sphere (+2 enhancement bonus to Intelligence) with a Cracked Scarlet and Blue Sphere (+1 competence bonus on one Intelligence-based skill).

If they're different items and different bonus types, they stack.

That one seems more likely to be an error, though.

Scarab Sages

They stack as long as they are providing differnt bonuses. In both of your examples, the answer is yes.

I don't think so. They're 30k and 28k respectively, so it seems legit that they'd be different bonuses.

it's not a big issue because if you look at bless, bard abilities and some paladin abilities, they provide moral bonuses so you lose out on stacking in that area, it's quite expensive for something alot of classes provide for free or as part of their normal routines.

The different bonus types are deliberate, and follow the normal stacking rules.

Good to know that the type difference is deliberate!
