Kingdom Death: Monster is a cooperative tabletop miniatures game for 1-6 players. Set in a unique nightmarish world devoid of most natural resources, you control a settlement at the dawn of its existence. Fight monsters, craft weapons and gear, and develop your settlement to ensure your survival from generation to generation
Includes plastic minis for the game and has options for high-quality resin versions. They look gorgeous.

Good call on the scale, DSXMachina. I thought I'd previously seen a comparison where the KD figures looked about right for "heroic" 28mm, but now I'm not so sure. Their main website lists the resin figures as 35mm, but I've also seen people note that the plastic figures are a bit smaller than the resin.
Even if the figures are too big to comfortably stand alongside Reaper and WizKids figures, it's still stunning as a self-contained game. But now I'm interested to see a better scale comparison.
Edit: Here's a comparison between their resin and PVC figures. The PVC figure is just a bit smaller, so they might squeak by as plausibly 28mm(?)

I wish they had not made them so large. Here is a picture of one next to a couple of GW figures they posted. While I do understand they ment for this to be a stand alone game, it would have been great to have them closer in size to the figures I already have in my collection.
But they do look good, that is for sure.

This looks incredible now: they've blown the roof off the initial goal and all of the upgrades mean you get a lot of cool stuff for $100.
The pledge guide lays it out pretty neatly.
$300 gets you everything except the 'pin-up' models: they're an extra $140 for the lot.
I don't have a spare $300 but if I did I would be all in.

Also, if you like to paint, go Survivor. You'll get an extra 24 minis for the $55 extra. Another MASSIVE phoenix, watcher, 3 complete sets of armor kits (each kit is 4 minis worth of bits), Snow the Savior, Paul and Aya the survivors, and 5 extra King's Men!
ETA: Oh, and I forgot the KS exclusive Adam and Anna minis, and the extra heads as well :D

Got together with two friends and pledged a total of $420 on this, qualifying for the Herald of Death rewards. By my count, we’re getting 21 single-cast humanoid minis, 40 minis worth of mix-and-match pieces, 8 boss-scale monster minis, plus the rules and board and so on, before we decide which $250 worth of expansions to pick up.
Pretty exciting.
I wasn’t going to buy anything--I successfully skipped the Bones kickstarter with no regrets--but then I watched the gameplay videos. There’s some ingenious elements to the game design. I particularly like the AI decks that double as health counters, resulting in monsters getting more predictable (though not necessarily less deadly) as they take injuries.
We should chat about how it plays in November.

I never went in.
I'm the kind of person who wants all of the expansions so for me I either had to drop $400 on this or buy nothing.
Money always gets tighter after Christmas and my RPG indulgence this month is Razor Coast.
I'll have to see how much this costs when it goes on general release, might be worth saving up for.

It sounds like they are bit larger than standard Minis, so not sure If I'll be able to use them in my Pathfinder games (maybe as Giants) but I love Figure painting so I'll be able to enjoy them regardless. I've seen some of the images of them and they just look gorgeous
Plus Tshirt. I always get the Tshirts

First run went....interesting
The First Story prologue went nicely enough. Some bleeding, few bruisies but no fetalities.
first real hunt....not so well
Firstly we got infested by some sort of insect that laid eggs in our ears. Drove us into a frenzy but also brough about brain trauma.
When we found the lion it was already hunting something else so it was lying in wait. Killed the first hunter to go after it instantly smashing his head to pulp. Had to throw a founding stone to wound it and get it out of it's crouch. Managed to sever some tendons and knock it down but that was a trap, Broken ribs for one hunter. Got in a lucky hit crushed it's wind pipe. Dies at the end of it's next round.....still managed to decapitate another hunter.
On returning to the village our hunters decided to reinact the hunt. One played the hunters, the other survivor played the lion.
Apparently the guy playing the Hunters got a little too excited and smashed the skull of the one playing the Lion.
Endless screaming in the night singles the arrival of the Antelope. Our voice of reason however kind of freaked out, tripped and shattered his jaw.

Year 3
Screams heard in the night, one of our villagers stepped up to be a voice of reason but he paniced, ran, tripped and smashed his jaw to pulp on the stones.
We set out to hunt the Screaming Antelope. It was going will, we surrounded it, injurured it badly and then
It began to charge, over and over and over again. Both men on the hunt died leaving only the women to kill the beast, and one of them driven mad by the beast's cries.
They dragged the carcase home just in time for a small earthquake. One pair of the surviovrs drew closer, but decided the only hope their love could have was to wander into the darkness hand in hand to their inevitable deaths. There was hopin in another couple but the mother died in childbirth with her infant. Her mate (Mushjaw) went mad from the loss
