A Monk from Cleave-land

Advice

Sovereign Court

Is it worth is for a Monk to pursue the Cleave Feat Line? Especially one without Flurry?

It'd be hella fun is all I know.

Go MoMS and take Dragon/Snake and maybe Panther, or Tiger and be that guy who can make his way across the battlefield on the corpses of his foes.

Do Cleaves provoke? If so, definitely take Panther.

Sovereign Court

Dragon might be useful, considering the benefit of taking the penalty to AC instead of To Hit... I wonder how well Cleave works with Flurry?

Silver Crusade

The standard one? Not at all the Cleave Line (Ala Cleaving Finish) Just as much as any character full attacking, you just would have to do enough damage to drop multiple people...Also Tiger Style is the one with the AC switch not Dragon.. And Rynjin; Cleave does not Provoke

I think you're generally going to do better with Combat reflexes, which you can grab as a bonus feat.

Cleave gives you something to do on a move, but as a guy who makes lots of smaller attacks, cleaving finish isn't as good for you as it is for the one big smash builds.

Unless of course, you're a weapon using monk, in which case maybe, post a build to be sure.

Sczarni

Can only be used as a standard action - which means you give up a full attack at full BAB -2 with FoB in an effort to make multiple attacks at 3/4 BAB.

This would be a strategy with diminishing returns as full BAB -2 will out pace 3/4 BAB.

On the plus side you'd get to add 1.5 x STR if you were attacking + cleaving with a 2-handed weapon or 1-handed weapon wielded in two hands.

As rkraus2 mentioned: it would give you something to do on a move - take advantage of your fast movement at least.

Sovereign Court

Yeah, I meant Tiger. So Cleave would be better used by Monks without flurry? And combat reflexes only works when it isnt your turn (which really isnt a bad thing). Hmmm... Tiger/Panther Style?
