20th Level One-Shot Adventure: What to Play?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Hello again, people!

One of my friends wants to GM a one-shot adventure at 20th level, and it sounded fun, but I can't decide on what to play!

So I come here asking for suggestions!

What would you play in such adventure?

A few notes about the one-shot:

- So far we have a Wizard and a Summoner (I think). So those are out.
- I need something with good saves. This is 20th level, after all!
- This is a neutral/evil camapign, so Paladins won't work.

Here are some of my ideas:

- A Barbarian/Anti-Paladin Hybrid that Pounces enemies and sunder spells!
- A Oracle of Battle focusing on reach weapons.
- An archer Inquisitor (Not sure how good they actually are)
- A Kitsune Sorcerer focused on Compulsion spells.

What do you think?

Undead master cleric.
Play him as a Druid with animal companion: Skeleton.
Make that skeleton the meanest mofo in the world. Then ride on his back swinging a greatclub.

Scarab Sages

Go for a hardcore fighter, the battle grizzled veteran adventurer who has seen far too many things a human should see. He could easily split a simple mortal in half with just his dagger, but then who would bring him his ale?

Dark Archive

Since it is a one-shot, I'd suggest a 20th level barbarian as an experiment to see how effective Mighty Rage turns out to be. Take the superstition rage power to increase saves, and rage early and often.

Maybe play the human variant from advanced race guide that allows you starting ability score modifiers of +2 Str and +2 Con in return for loss of the human bonus feat and extra skill rank.

Assuming it is not a terribly serious game, and 20 point buy, start out with stats (before racial adjustments) of say Str 18, Dex 14, Con 16, Int 7, Wis 7, Cha 7
