That's weird - my reply isn't showing. If this double-posts, I apologize
Marigold lets out a small moan, not unlike the ghostly figure before them, then yells out, "Incorporeal - activate Battle Plan Cotton Candy!"
Stepping over, she hands the crossbow and bolts to Embok. "Come on, everyone!" she bellows, as she steps forward and tries to channel holy energy into the figure.
Swift: activate Mythic Advance - everyone except Charles gains a move action on my turn
Bonus move: 5' step to D7 and hand crossbow and bolts to Embok.
Move: Activate Mythic Rally (one d20 reroll for everyone except Charles until the start of my next turn) and 5' step to E6
Standard: Cast Cure Light Wounds on the spirit
Concentration DC17 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Touch attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Reroll the touch attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

Mari, gotta throw the 5-foot step rule out too...I don't think you can take ANY other move actions in a round if you use a 5 foot step. So I don't quite think it'll work to 5-foot step AND give the crossbow as your bonus move action. Definitely can't take 2 5 foot steps in a round. I'll let you repost what you want if that's correct...

Marigold Malachite |

Aw... but we're Mythic ;)
No problem :)
At least, that's the battle plan running through Mari's mind. Unfortunately, her lil' halfling legs don't have quite enough oomph. So instead, she'll drop the crossbow on the way to rain holy death upon the... dead guy.
Swift: activate Mythic Advance - everyone gains a move action on my turn
Bonus move: 10' move, to D7 then E6, dropping the crossbow (free) in D7, and drawing the wand as part of the move.
Move: Activate Mythic Rally (one d20 reroll for everyone until the start of my next turn)
Standard: Cast Cure Light Wounds on the spirit
Embok, should he wish it, can then use his bonus move action to tke a 5' step and pick up the crossbow.
Also, I forgot that Charles hasn't run off yet - so he gets the extra move action, as well as the rally if he doesn't use the move action to go out of range :)

Nope, just can't do a 5-foot step and a move, like movement in the same round. Can do a move action that doesn't involve movement.

Will save for half damage 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 2 = 16 Dc should be 10+spell level+your stat casting bonus
Started writing this on my phone last night and hit submit when I woke up LOL. Ignore the will save then. I am curious if the bonus move from Advance *could* be used for a 2nd 5' step.
Mari, with inhuman speed, drops the crossbow by Embok, and comes back at the creature trying to touch it with a spell...
Which should provoke an AoO (It's got Combat Reflexes)... 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
The creature reaches out to touch her while she's casting but can't get it's insubstantial fingers on her.
Charles, I moved you back to pre-charge since the ghouls get to go before the next round. Might change your actions.
The ghouls shriek and howl and charge at the dwarf...
Charge+Bite Ghoul 1 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 2 = 16
Charge+Bite Ghoul 2 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 = 11
...Both of them getting in each others way and missing the hairy thing.
The robed creature remembering the futile swipe at him from the big sword, moves backwards into the painting. It reappears out of the wolf painting and moves to the other side of the big swordsman. It reaches out to touch him...
Move through the walls to G6
Touch Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Damage 1d6 ⇒ 5
Charles, give me a fort save DC17 or take Con Drain of 1d6 ⇒ 2
Elyza, Thomas, and then Embok. Then Round 2 starts!

![]() |

Elyza shifts the bow to her off hand, draws her sword and shifts around to face the elusive creature. Swinging 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24, damage 1d8 + 5 + 2d6 ⇒ (6) + 5 + (5, 4) = 20 /2 The creature shrieks as the empowered blade slices.
HP 13; AC 16; MP 2 of 5; Fort: +0 Ref: +2 Will: +3; Swift: available

Lord Embok |

I assume you dropped bolts too, in which case Embok uses his move actions to move, grab the crossbow and bolts, and load up a shot. Unless I have to pick them up separately in which case I don't have a fourth move action with which to load.
Assuming I can do all of the above, Embok uses a swift action to surprise strike the robed creature.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 vs. Flat-Footed AC
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Note that as far as I can tell you never specified what kind of crossbow it is. If it's not a light crossbow then you can roll the damage for me rather than wait. If I can't load, I'll just pick the items up and wait for next round. If she didn't drop bolts, I'll have to redo my move entirely since I don't have any of my own.

Charles Trope |

If nobody took the longsword, Charles did. I didn't notice that the longsword dropped, sorry. I think that i will change my action if that is ok.
Charles, noticing that his greatsword does nothing to the ghostlu creature, sheathes his weapon (1 move action), draws the longsword (2nd move action) he picked up from the previous location and swings with that one, using it two-handed, hoping that he might have luck with a magical weapon. He burns a point of mythic power to attack twice.
Power attack, regular 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Damage 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Critical confirmation 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Sudden power attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Damage 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Checked, nothing says incorporeal creatures are immune to crits, plus, it's a ghost weapon.

Pendin Fust |

Gotcha I was just making sure you took off the +1 from Weapon Focus for using the Longsword instead of the Greatsword.
The wraith howls as Charles' strike bites deep into it, the surprise evident in it's voice. Then, suddenly, Charles swings up and slices through the thing...dissolving it back to where it came.

Pendin Fust |

lol thank you for the reminder! As Charles sends the wraith screaming back to the Abyss, he looks over his shoulder to see Silas grin, take a breath, close his eyes in concentration, and slam his palm out to catch a charging ghoul in the chest. The ghoul stops in its tracks, but can't get its mouth on the dwarf. Silas twists away from the other ghoul and aims a quicker than lightning punch and kick at the first ghoul. Unfortunately he was off balance from his sternum cracking blow from before and he misses with both strikes.
Mari then ghouls

Pendin Fust |

The ghouls look at each other and split a foul grin. They move a short step to either side of the dwarf and bite again...
5' step to H6 from I6 and ready bite after the next ghoul
5' step to H8 from I7 and bite with flanking. 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 2 = 20
Readied bite with flanking 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 2 = 19
Damage 1 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Damage 2 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Both bites look to be true...
In case you Sudden Block one of them. Also, I need 2 Fort saves, one for each bite. DC13 or else you contract Ghoul Fever. Also I'll need 2 more Fort saves at DC 13 or be paralyzed for... 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 rounds (if you fail both add the rounds)

Elyza steps into the chair alcove and slices 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13, using reroll 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14 spend an Mystic Power point 1d6 ⇒ 5 results=19 to hit for 1d8 + 8 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + 8 + (4, 1) = 17 damage, inflicting a significant wound to the undead creature.

Thomas Lockwood |

Tom sends another fire bolt at the top ghoul.
Ranged touch 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Mythic Rally 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Crit 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Fire damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
3x2=6 total fire damage
(Thanks Marigold)

Pendin Fust |

The firebolt sears into the midsection of the remaining ghoul, it's mouth releasing the bite on Silas and opening impossibly wide with row upon row of sharp and discolored teeth. It screams in pain and rage, you can smell it's rancid breath from where you stand.
You can roll the 2nd damage or take the x2 you did in this case...it won't bring him down if you get your max on the 2nd roll anyway.
Embok's turn!
Also, Silas, don't forget the 4 Fort saves :) If you fail the DC13 on the first one (for resisting Ghoul Fever) then your 2nd roll for Ghoul Fever can be used as one of your cure attempts. Both rolls against the paralysis are needed...those can increase duration.
ALSO!!! The next encounter will be Mythic at CR7 + MR1. It should be fun...muahahahahahah!!!

Marigold Malachite |

If its still up when it gets back around to Mari, she'll scoot up and touch with her cure light wounds. (she has a gauntlet, so shouldn't provoke, right?)
touch attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Will DC 15 for half.
Going to see Reservoir Dogs tonight, didn't want you to have to wait for me

Pendin Fust |

Emboks aim looks to be off as he starts pulling the trigger to the crossbow, but at the last millisecond his eye widens and shifts slightly and looses the bolt. It slams into the last ghoul's eye, showing the grey matter in it's skull parts of the world it was never meant to see.
OK Silas, you saved both of the Ghoul Fever's, would have been paralyzed for 12-18 seconds but it doesn't really matter now that Embok killed the last ghoul
The hallway appears empty and you look at the stairs bifurcating to their respective doors...
Which way next?
