Groton, Mass - Lost in the woods without a gaming group

I'm a recent transplant from the west coast (Seattle), and I need to find a gaming group! I'm hoping to find a casual weekly game where the emphasis is on character development and in general just enjoying the game and the company around the table.

I've been gaming for about 30 years (yeah, I'm old) with most my experience in D&D until my last group decided to switch to Pathfinder.

If anybody has an game table with an open chair please let me know.

I suggest you try some local Pathfinder Society games to meet the local Pathfinders in this area.

You will need to review the PFS campaign rules (be sure to download the free Guide.) Then find some games here:

Lucas Servideo is your local Venture-Lieutenant. He runs games at Harrison's in Salem, MA and Toys N Things in Danvers, MA.

I'm running a 4e game out in Sturbridge every other Wednesday that could use another player. We range in age from 27 - 42. No 4e experience or purchasing of books is necessary. The PCs just hit second level in an Undermountain based campaign. PM me if you're interested.

Thanks Ghettowedge, but I mapped that out and Sturbridge seems a little far to drive. Especially mid-week.

Don, I got your reply to my e-mail and I may check out the Pathfinder Society meetings up in Nashua since that seems to be the closest thing to where I'm currently living.

I can respect that, it feels too far for me to drive some weeks. Most of us live in Worcester, but don't have the space to host a game at our homes.

I live in NE CT and have been looking to have a group here, but many players are in the same shoes. Right now I drive to RI for a weekly group which (Other than Worcester) would be as far as I would go.

Jason, where in RI is your group? What do you play an AP? Modules? a Homebrew game?

Do you think folks would be interested in a monthly PFS game in that area?

We are in Cranston, mainly home brew 3.5 one week and the other week we are running a Pathfinder Adventure Path.

I think 2 (maybe 3) of the players might be interested in that (as 2 of us are involved in LFR).

Game On has 4.0 but no PFS that I am aware of, not sure what else in that area would have anything.

I've been meaning to get down to Game On for the past year. I've just been pulled in other directions so far. Perhaps 2013 is their year for PFS.
