Anyone playing this yet? I've sunk about ten hours in and haven't touched the main quest yet. I felt like I was just going through the paces with Dawnguard, i'm actually really enjoying this one. Suuuuuper buggy though.

A word of advice for when you do start it; make sure you're wearing something that allows you to breath under water when you take off to the new area. I got a bug where my boat sank and I was just sitting underwater for a while.. After some dialog completed, it let me swim up to the surface and the boat was suddenly there like nothing happened.

Skyrim has some underwater issues. I went into a cave once which had an underground pool. I snuck past some wolves and dived into the pool... but I forgot to tell Lydia to stay put.
As I swim back, Lydia is standing suspended in water (she started to follow me) facing a wolf who is also suspended in water. You can't engage in combat under water, but Lydia and the wolf are in combat mode, so UNDER WATER, I'm just watching Lydia stare down the wolf and shout "Now you'll pay!" over and over again. Neither she nor the wolf are drowning, for the record. Transitioning from the cave does nothing, she's still stick there.
I manage to push past them, and get onto the ground. I shoot the wolves with bow and arrow (fortunately they were close enough to the surface I could hit them), and once they're dead, Lydia comes trundling out of the water like nothing ever happened.

Finished the main plot this evening. Enjoyable, even if it didn't all make a whole lot of sense for me. I'd been RPing my character's slow decline down the slippery slop of working with Daedra and other foul sources of power for a while, so it tied in nicely.
Overall very happy with this expansion - much more so than with Dawnguard or Hearthfire (which is still buggy as hell).

Have finished the DRAGONBORN DLC and have been very pleased with it. It's huge, much more like a proper expansion than a small episode. In fact, it struck me whilst playing it that it would make an excellent self-contained demo for SKYRIM itself. It has all the same ingredients as SKYRIM but a much smaller and more contained area, whilst still having a lot of content.
For some reason, the NPCs in SKYRIM also feel more vivid. The snobbish dunmer mage living in the giant magic mushroom is hilarious, and I was surprised when, after he helped me out with the main quest, that I kept going back and he'd have more sub-quests to do. The inhabitants of Raven Rock also felt more like a community than most similar settlements in SKYRIM proper, particularly with the blacksmith who was the brother of a member of the Thieve's Guild, giving me an 'in' to the community straight away.
The only big problems I had with it were the poor main villain. Miraak was lame, and the final fight against him was ridiculous. Whenever you do major damage to him, he calls down the dragons to kill and absorb their souls (which heals him as well). If you do too much damage, the game glitches and he goes ethereal, never to return. He can also deal out a lot of damage, so I had to wait until he'd killed the three dragons and then cheesekill him (ducking behind a pillar and occasionally leaping out to use a bow, fireball and Fire Breath shouts).
Also, dragon-riding is poor. The game was never designed with it in mind, the animation is ropey (c'mon Bethesda, there are mods out there that do it better) and there's almost nothing you can do with it. Just like DAWNGUARD, the DLC's major selling point is also its biggest weakness. Thankfully, unlike DAWNGUARD, there's a metric ton of stuff to do apart from the main selling point.

I love Dragonborn. And I love the fact that my Dovahkiin now has a Goblin-I mean Riekling tribe at her disposal.
The whole dragon riding business was a little underwhelming though.I guess it would only crash the game constantly if they had made flying on dragons as freely controllable as riding a horse; just like with those mods that tried adding flyable dragon forms for players. It woud be nice if i could call Odahviing or Durnehviir for this purpose, but the fact that you have to find a new dragon every single time, makes it extremely gimmicky.

I liked Dragonborn quite a bit. I was very disapointed in the storyline in Dawnguard, so it was nice to return to Morrowind memories and a story that made more sense for my character as opposed to
(dawnguard spoiler)
Why am I helping this vampire I just found with an elder scroll take that elder stroll to another vampire? I just joined the vampire hunters guild, right? WTF?!?!
