Feral Speech and other Hexes

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

It has recently come up in our game. I have ruled it that Hexes that should have a duration, but have none listed use the duration of the spell that they are emulating. Is this the intention of the Developers?

While I will be listing this for a FAQ candidate, what have other GMs done in this case?

All Spell-like abilities function as the spells they emulate, including their duration.

But its a at will hex so duration is pretty meanless. they can change what type of animal they can talk to every rd .

It not a spell- like ability ... its a (SU)

It is not meaningless, simply because it is a standard action to activate, but I understand your point. It may come up that there is a time-sensitive situation that the duration AND action economy will come in to play.

Hex abuse occurs fairly often, and so I want to make sure that in certain situations, I have my bases covered.
