Ki Diversity can be choosen as a Monk Bonus Feat?

Rules Questions

Ki Diversity.

Under special, it notes that Monks may select Ki Diversity as a bonus feat. Monk Bonus Feats ignore all prerequisites. Does this mean that a Monk could hypothetically take (but not use without Ki, obviously) Ki Diversity as early as level 1? Or 6, if you say he has to have the Ki Pool. This also means, I believe, that he can ignore the 25 TPA?

Just fact checking, because it seems off. And Zen Combatant as early as level 1 (Ki Mystic) or 3 (Drunken Master, and more likely) is fantastic.

I think it technically works, although I am 99.99999% certain the intent is that you're going to have to get the TPA, or some other roleplaying restriction, first. This is a feat available to people who have extensively trained with an elite group of warrior-monks, not random monk who takes it at first level.

And since it's using the RAW over the RAI, I'm thinking it's starting to smell a bit like a mixture of milk and rennet.

If you are not using factions in your game (which this feat requires), the book it is from heavily recommends using some other roleplaying based prerequisite. Otherwise, the average level that this feat would be available to someone using the faction rules is level 7, but this can be as high as level 9 as well.

@Blackbloodtroll: The question isn't "Can I ignore the 25 TPA thing if I'm not using factions?" It's, "Even if I am using Factions, does the Monk's Bonus Feat's ability to bypass prerequisites apply to the faction-based prerequisites?"

@Cheapy: I'm pretty much where you stand at the moment. I just want to make sure there isn't something I missed. That said, with all the RAW and ruling nerfing Monks, a little bit of cheese is okay at this point, I feel.
