DC on camel's spit attack?

Rules Questions

Looking at animal companions for my ranger and not really liking anything... I'm guessing they'll all be useless for PFS play given they'll be a lvl -3. But a spit attack to sicken for 1d4 rounds with 10ft range increment seems pretty cool. Plus I'm Keleshite so a camel would be appropriate...

Bonding with companions doesn't make sense given the nature of PFS play... different companions each scenario so where's the bond come from? But I suppose just suspend disbelieve and pretend like we've all been together since lvl 1. But still, a move action to give companions within 30 ft half my favored enemy bonus for 3 rounds against a single enemy. Better than nothing, I suppose.

Could've taken Falconer at 1st I guess, too.

DC on a camel's spit attack? There is none. You get hit by the ranged touch attack and you are sickened for 1d4 rounds.

That's what I was hoping to hear! Camel it is!

Not so fast.

Spit (Ex) Once per hour, a camel can regurgitate the contents of its stomach, spitting the foul material at a single target within 10 feet. The target must make a DC 13 Fortitude save or be sickened for 1d4 rounds. The save DC is Constitution-based.

The DC is 10+(1/2 HD+con modifier).

yeah, too good for no DC...

thanks for digging that out, guys, better than finding out at the table.

Silver Crusade

A ranger's animal companion IS the same session to session. That's kinda the point. In PFS you'll have to make GM observed rolls to give him any additional training beyond automatic feats and tricks, but its the same beast. If your companion dies during a session, or if you want to change it, its assumed you've had time to re-summon between sessions.

Otherwise, enjoy your spitter =D
