Lycanthrope Lifespan

Does anyone know the official average lifespan of lycanthropes? There's been a bit of a debate in my group with half saying they are immortal and the other half saying they have the lifespan of the race the template is placed on. I agree with the latter. Any help?

I always go with the lifespan of the base race.

It doesn't seem to matter that much, though. Most lycanthropes, like most PCs, don't live long enough for it to matter.

That's what I was thinking too. The base race is what I always went with. Our new GM was curious mainly because he was thinking about pitting us against a really old werewolf. So he asked me, since I've bee running longer than he.

my suggestion make him undead(especially a vampire)

make the base form "elf" really old either way. I tend to think that few lycanthropes reach old age.
