Help for An Archer Cleric build, for Kingmaker.

Advice

hello all,

I need some hlep to build an archer cleric for our campaign Kingmaker.
In the party, you have a fighter, a sorcerer (magic bloodline), a rogue.

The cleric will worship Erastil.

So for 25 points buy what will you do?

Race: human
God: Erastil

Str:
Dex:
Con:
Int:
Wis:
Cha:

Domains:?

Traits: ?

Feats:

1-
1-
3-
5-
7-
9-
11-
13-
15-

Thank you for your help :)

archery is feat intensive and clercis do not have extra feats. Maybe

Str 13
Con 12
Dex 18
Int 10
Wis 16
Cha 10

1. Pointblank shot, Precise shot
2.
3. Rapid shot
4.
5. Deadly aim
6.
7. Manyhots

personally I would take one or two level dip in fighter at some point to get weapon focus.

Archer clerics are so 3rd edition.

But
12
14
13
12
16+2=18
13

Traits- there’s a new trait about living under the bridge in magnimar that gives you Perc as a class skill. Reactionary. Focused Mind. Missionary!

Feats:

Point Blank, Precise, Rapid. All !
Selective Channeling! Extra Channel. Channeled revival (later)
Toughness.

My suggestion? Cleric of Erastil (which you're already doing). Guided Hand.

There's a dad feat along the way, but using Wisdom to hit is awesome. You can be a full-strength cast-happy Cleric and still get an awesome to-hit bonus. You just need that 13 Dex to qualify for feats, and you can easily afford decent scores in anything else you care about.

Also? Animal/Fur/Feather domain (preferably feather unless your GM locks that into a bird animal companion) for the animal companion, because getting a best friend is awesome. Follow that up with Boon Companion to get back up to full progression and you're golden, though that'll probably be your seventh-level feat, after Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot. Living without those for a while sucks.

Silver Crusade

Race: human
God: Erastil

Str: 14
Dex: 15+2=17
Con: 14
Int: 10
Wis: 16
Cha: 8
Racial Traits: Eye for Talent (+2Str for Animal Companion)
Domain: Animal(Feather), Community(Home)
Traits:
Feats:
1- Point Blank Shot
3- Precise Shot
5- Boon Companion
7- Rapid Shot (Dex 13)
9- Weapon Focus Long Bow
11- Snap Shot
13- Improved Snap Shot (Dex 15)
15- Improved Precise Shot (Dex 19)

Thing to remember- the party has a tank. You are the healer/buffer who also does some ranged support. A pure fighter or ranger (or even Monk) archer is better, but you can do a LOT. Don;t waste all your feats on archery.

You need CHA for Channeling. This will be your big source of in combat healing. That's also why I gave you those two feats.

In fact, I am changing my mind on stats:
11 (+1 level 4)
14
14
12
15+2 (+1 level 8)
14

You need that 18 Wis by level 8, level 7 is better. That will give you a extra 4th level spell. @ 8th level, that's +2 to your bow via great Magic weapon, lasts for hours. That is better than what you get from a 16 DEX.

You need the 14 CHA to give you 2 extra Channels. Scoff all you want, but at 7th level, each extra channel is 56 points of healing! (4 D6 each).

Get wands for after combat healing.

Now, that 12 INT is controversial. I can see going to a 10 and putting the STR to 13. But the cleric hurts for SkP. I think with a 25% boost to SkP you can be a more valuable party member.

But the high CHA is needed. That extra use of Channeling (plus other stuff) will make the party love you. With those other builds you get only three a day. Assuming 4 combats a day, I'd want double that if not 8 a day.

Feather is a great subdomian. Good is also a great choice, makes your bow or the fighters weapon Holy. Azata is another useful subdomain.

Channel is useful up to level 5. Past that point it is for after combat healing only. This has gone around the boards. The bonus healing is nice it is not great unless you focus on it. And a wand of cure light is more effective then channel at any level.

If your making a cleric for casting you will need a base Wis of 17+. This is for higher level game play. If you start with a 15 any thing past level 8 you will just be wasting spells.

Focus on one thing you want to do well. If that is range combat, spell casting, or channel. Take your pick the others you can do. You will not be strong in thous areas.
My build is set up for Range Combat>Casting>Channel

Hardly. It does serious healing and it's a Su action. At 9th level it cures nearly 80 points of healing with a single action. That would take 20 standard actions and 20 charges off a wand. That's 300 gps down the drain.

Guided Hand will allow you to use your wisdom for attack rolls with your Bow.

As a human, you can nab it at first level.

Pick up an Adaptive Composite Longbow as soon as you can.

Also, if you are just looking for non-Erastil flavor, you could worship Ylimancha, who is an Empyreal Lord whose favored weapon is the Longbow and who also grants access to the Air, Animal, Good domains. Ylimancha is in the Magnamar book, and on one of the two wikis (dont remember which).
