Fetchlings in Golarion

Dear Paizo community

One player asked me whether he could play a fetchling. I didn't object but I'm hard pressed to find any suitable place in golarion from where the fetchling community could establish their society. Any ideas on that?

There's a documented fetchling population in Nidal.

I'm running a Shade in our recently begun Curse of the Crimson Throne Campaign. His background is that he's a half-elf Shade instead of a half-human Shade; so he's tied to Shades in the First World as opposed to Shades in the more obvious Uskwood and Pangolais.

Spoiler:
(Fetchlings were originally called Shades in 1E so I kinda stick with "Shade" -- it's cooler sounding and more Grognardian.)

Fetchlings are native to the shadow plane, so which is coterminus with the material. You can always have the character accidently come through a rift or portal and be stranded on the material. Absolam should also have a fetchling population because of the easy access from Shadow Absolam.

That would be my number one choice as well. The connection between Absalom and Shadow Absalom makes it seem like the best place for a Fetchling character to call home.

We decided upon Nidal. As a Fetchling orphaned to a human parent. It would be difficult to roleplay a person from an entierly different dimmension.

[blinks] Isn't that what you're doing anyway?

Well not exactly. Fetchlings are said to be born from human parents sometimes so he probably never seen the shadow plane.

I think he meant because you're playing someone in Golarion. We're all technically playing someone from an entirely different dimension. (Nevermind that it may be canon that Earth is in the same dimension as Golarion.)

I was going to suggest Nidal because the module The Midnight Mirror mentions fetchlings in Nidal, but someone already beat me to it.

That having been said, a fetchling need not be from a human parent to be born on Golarion, he could come from a fetchling community such as the one in The Midnight Mirror. (It has a whole fetchling slum area as the fetchlings are second-class citizens.)
