3.5 Modules?

Is there any chance that some of the older 3.5 modules will be made legal for PFS play? Looks like some of them are still popular with Kobold King being a top seller. Id love to see that happen as I enjoy running and playing in the modules just slightly more than the scenarios.

I think it would be cool if they are made legal too, but Mike [REDACTED] and said [REDACTED] cause the monkeys [REDACTED].

So in short, [REDACTED].

It's telling that a lot of people around here are interested in Pathfinder Society credit. That's a good thing. But that limits their enthusiasm for older modules. I would dearly love to run some of them through Pactstone Pyramid, for the Golarion lore if nothing else. (Crazy Arcturus stuff, yeah!) (Wand rifles, meh.)

But I don't know that offering Chronicle sheets for it will sell that many more copies.

My concern would be that they're too different from the PFS norm. Season 0 scenarios and current Modules are both one 'step' away from the usual PFS experience, either by using a different ruleset, or by not fitting the standard model of faction missions, 5-hour duration, clear Pathfinder Society involvement, etc.

v.3.5 Modules would have both of these issues to overcome. That may be partly why sanctioning them hasn't been a priority.

I hear ya Paz. Modules are always an odd fit into PFS as the GM often has to tinker with the story at the start to make them fit into a PFS story. But in my experience the RP side of them has been more than enough of a reward to justify it.

I hope there is action on this though not holding my breathe. More option is always cool especially with the added bonus of getting chances to experience more Golarion lore.

I have a lot of things I could say here, but I'll just wander away before I say something.

I'd really love to see J1: Entombed with the Pharaohs updated for Pathfinder. Of all Paizo's 3.5 scenarios, that one is the most clearly suited for the Pathfinder Society to tackle. Exploring an ancient tomb while confronting iconic foes of the Society: That scenario has it all!

Oi, yeah. When I ran Feast of Ravenmoor I modified the story so a critical NPC was a missing contact of Sheila Heidmarch, to add some Pathfinder relevance to the mission. When an villager in the module told the party that the NPC has skipped town(he was lying), the party almost left. That threw me off my game for the rest of the module, and it felt like I was playing catch up for the next two hours - not a fun experience, even though I love that particular module.

That said, I would still love to have the additional options of running the 3.5 modules in PFS; especially Beyond the Vault of Souls, which has a lot of fun mechanics in it.
