A Ranger with the infiltrator archetype can take Elf blood as their adaptation.
One of the prerequisites for the Lantern Bearer prestige class is that they be elven or 1/2 elven.
So, would the infiltrator qualify for the prestige class?
Clearly, if they DO qualify they'd only be able to use the class abilities while using their elven adaptation. While not adpated, all they'd get would be the hit dice, skills, BAB, saving throws (there is lots of precedence for this. Eg, paladin violating their code).
I'm interested both in what people think RAW say (for PFS purposes) and what they think of the idea if it is NOT RAW.

Elf Blood: Half-elves count as both elves and humans for any effect related to race.
Emphasis mine.
That means they count as elves for purposes of stuff like Favored Enemy or Bane weapons. Those are effects. Prestige class is not an effect. So no, Infiltrator would not qualify for Lantern Bearer.
