Wasn't quite sure where to stick this one so I figured here was as good as any.
OK, what were some of your (at least mine anyway) books growing up as kids? Very likely the choose your own ending books right?
I'm sure we are all familiar with how difficult it can be to get a good gaming group together due to schedules/locations, and that some of us may even live in the middle of nowhere Antarctica... So a suggestion I have, cause I haven't seen it anywhere yet that is and correct me if I'm wrong, is to create some solo adventures. Something where a person can create their own character or two even, and take them through an adventure. Give some of the solo guys a chance at a bit of gaming.
Now I know these tabletop RPG's are all about socializing and I agree, however, I haven't turned a video game on in the last couple weeks because I have gotten a hold of some PF material and have done nothing but read up and create some characters. And the whole time I am thinking to myself I wish I could play these characters, but with nobody around when I am needing them, it's kind of difficult. So to satisfy my hunger I pretty much just pull some monsters out of the bestiaries and go toe to toe with them.
Anyway, just my 2 Lincoln's, and I dunno if this will even make it to people that make these decisions. Happy hunting - Thor

Theres been some talk that the up and coming Mythic Adventures rules might allow a single character to run the APs. Unconfirmed though as of yet. You might check out the playtest when it becomes available this month. Soon from what we've been told. Not sure thats what they're aiming for, but it sounds like it might do the trick for your situation. Running one or two characters through an AP should be a bit more manageable than four. Theres a few threads about it in Paizo Products I think.
