One of my players want to play a boxer (Barbarian) who uses performance enhancing drugs. I'm looking for suggestions on appropriate benefits and drawbacks from this behavior.
The player found Shoanti Barbarian Chew but he "was hoping for something a little more dangerous"
Ideas?
For references the story is set in Korvosa, so I'm planning for the drug to be made from an alchemical blend of Shoanti Barbarian Chew, qat and pesh.

If the character engages in prizefights he must worry about opponents discovering his secret. This assumes that the fights are conducted under rules that forbid magic and pharmaceutical enhancements.
If you want to houserule a drawback I have a suggestion. Make the character psychologically dependent on the drugs. When he fights without them give him a morale penalty of -2 or so. Or give him access to cheaper than normal potions that are poorly made. They would use the same addiction rules as other drugs.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone I'm fairly new to pathfinder and didn't even realize there were rules for drugs in the pathfinder SRD, since they are not in the core rulebook. D'oh!
Those existing rules for drugs seem perfect for what I want. Though I may end up house-ruling the specific effects...but I hear there's another forum for that.
Cheers!
