Do Trip Arrows Do Damage?

Rules Questions

Shadow Lodge

And should I allow them in my game? I can't tell if they are Fan content, or from Paizo.

Grand Lodge

Elves of Golarion. Paizo.

They deal damage.

Baed on the reading from them, from the actual book, not d20pfsrd, they have a CMB check of 15 for tripping NOT of +5 to your CMB to make the trip, which is very different and actually more powerful for you.

Mind you, the elves of Golarion trip arrow says DC for trip, and not CMD. So at best, it's a cmd15 you need to trip them on, or a +5 to your CMB. Just make sure to ask your GM how exactly it works.

The Exchange

A little late, but that DC is because Elves of Golarion was written for the 3.5 ruleset, where there was an opposed STR check involved in tripping.

Grand Lodge

The book is listed as available in PFS(last time I checked), so there should be an update.

As a side note, I am happy things like trip and grapple were redone in Pathfinder.

The Exchange

Are they legal for play though?

They are not mentioned in the Additional Rules entry for the book.
