So there's a basic 2nd level sor/wiz spell called Spectral Hand, which lets you create a small, magic, floating hand to deliver touch spells at range. The full text can be found here.
Assuming that you could cast both Spectral Hand and a touch spell (say, bestow curse) without alerting your targets, would it be possible to deliver the touch spell at range without your victims realizing what just happened?

Well, the spectral hand is not invisible (ethereal implies invisibility, incorporeal does not) - so probably not. It's also a spell effect - not an object - so you couldn't cast invisibility on it, either.
It might be possible for you to hide while your spectral hand delivers spells, though. Just remember that spellcasting isn't quiet - it requires you to speak in a firm, clear voice.

The Spectral Hand has no stealth skill either, and it attacks from a specific direction. So really, the only way for a victim not to notice the attack is for said victim to be sleeping, unconscious or blind(ed).
And it's still a touch attack - I've no idea how delicate a touch a Spectral Hand might have.
