Can you take off your backback... Wildshape into an Air Elemental (small) and then put the backpack back on?
What about weapons and/or other equipment?
What about other elementals? Earth? Water? Fire? Would he Fire Elemental burn off the backpack straps or force a magical Fire Save?
What about Handy Haversacks?
Our current campaign I decided as a Gnome Druid to take off my backpack and then wildshape and then put the backpack(Handy haversack) back on.. because then I can use scrolls or potions in the backback. (normally your backpack melds into your form)..We were going to fight a Dragon so thats why I did this.
The Gm said no problem... however I wonder what would happen with the other Elemental forms? Especially Fire Elemental/

AurA moderate transmutation Cl 9th WeIght 1 lb.
This leather pouch is usually decorated with a druidic motif.
Within is an extradimensional space that can hold 4 cubic
feet or 40 pounds worth of items and otherwise functions as
a small bag of holding. If the bearer uses a polymorph effect
or wild shape to transform into an animal, dragon, elemental,
magical beast, plant, or vermin, the pouch never merges with
her body. It automatically relocates to an easily-accessible
place on her body (such as on a belt or a cord around her neck),
allowing her to access the pouch and items within it while she
is transformed.
