Undine Feat Requirements

Rules Questions

I'm an Undine Sorcerer that would like to take the feat Hydraulic Maneuver. This feat requires Hydraulic Push as a spell-like ability.

Trick is that I took an alternate racial ability instead of keeping Hydraulic Push racial ability.

Can I use my ability as a sorcerer to cast the spell Hydraulic Push as a prerequisite for this feat?

Not without your GM letting you.

Scarab Sages

"Hydraulic Maneuver (Undine)
You can use your hydraulic push to disarm or trip.
Prerequisites: Hydraulic push spell-like ability, undine."

Nope, if you took an alternate trait, this is no longer a legal feat feat for you, unless you have an alternate way of making Hydraulic Push a spell-like ability.

Thankfully, that is doable.

Minor Spell Expertise.

Although that wouldn't open up Hydraulic Maneuver for him until around 9th level, at which point he's probably got much better things he could be doing with his turns than using his magic super-soaker to disarm and dazzle people :D

Still, that does make it possible.

Thanks for the advice.
