Does the Kestros count as a sling for sling feats and powers? Tried to link to prd but it would not work. It is a bronze weapon in Ultimate Combat.
Halflings treat the Kestros as a sling and it says in the description that it is a sling just of an odd shape. I tried to search but either having horrible luck or it is not out there. I have given up trying to go the logical steps and figure better to ask if can't search and find an answer.

Halflings don't treat the Kestros as a sling — they treat it as a martial weapon. Indeed, the word "sling" isn't even mentioned in the mechanical description. So the answer is no; a kestros is not exactly like a sling only better.
So because shuriken has that it is treated as ammo in description but not on the mechanical description then I can ignore what the weapon description says?
From the PRD
Shuriken: A shuriken is a small piece of metal with sharpened edges, designed for throwing. A shuriken can't be used as a melee weapon. Although they are thrown weapons, shuriken are treated as ammunition for the purposes of drawing them, crafting masterwork or otherwise special versions of them, and what happens to them after they are thrown.
Kestros: The kestros is an oddly shaped sling used for launching darts. Your Strength modifier applies on damage rolls when you use a kestros, just as it does for thrown weapons. You can fire—but not load—a kestros with one hand. Loading a kestros is a move action that requires two hands and provokes attacks of opportunity. Halflings treat the kestros as a martial weapon.
The charts do not show on either one that need to look up something as it just shows what they do. So if I just go by the chart and ignore the description then I get to consider my shuriken as weapons for making them masterwork and magic instead of ammo but do not think of the kestros as a sling?
And I did make the mistake about treating as sling as I was frustrated with not being able to get link to work and did not check that part as it is a martial weapon for halflings.

It is a sling. The question surrounds whether being a "Bronze Age" sling matters or not. I'm inclined to rule it as a sling, which means feats and abilities that affect slings would likewise work with the Kestros.
Pretty useful when combined with Warslinger, as the Kestros is a nice damage increase, and you could make Durable Kestros Darts.
A counter argument could be that the Halfling Sling Staff isn't treated as a sling (as per this FAQ), and its wording is virtually identical to that of the Kestros.
