Combining the mount evolution with shadow blend and stealth skill in eidolons

Rules Questions

Ok, so I'm making a summoner with a stealthy eidolon. He's a halfling so it's legal for him to ride his medium sized buddy, and I'm considering doing it. How does stealth work on a mount, would the two characters hide separately or with one roll? Whose skill do they use? And shadow blend grants concealment, which allows for a new stealth skill to hide. Does this also apply to the rider or only the mount? (I don't imagine there'd be a "Is that halfling floating on a shadow?" moment, although it might be funny.)

Relevant rules quotes:
"If people are observing you using any of their senses (but typically sight), you can't use Stealth. Against most creatures, finding cover or concealment allows you to use Stealth."

"In any condition of illumination other than bright light, the eidolon disappears into the shadows, giving it concealment (20% miss chance)."

Also, is the cover action from riding necessary for normal stealth riding, or for disappearing using concealment. Does it also require a stealth roll or does the ride check replace the stealth roll?

From the ride skill:
"Cover: You can react instantly to drop down and hang alongside your mount, using it as cover. You can't attack or cast spells while using your mount as cover. If you fail your Ride check, you don't get the cover benefit. Using this option is an immediate action, but recovering from this position is a move action (no check required)."

If I was DMing I would just make a call on this & I'd trust my home DM to do the same but I plan on using this character for Pathfinder Society play, so I want to be certain I'm not missing something.

Gang,

Was any feedback given, even if on another thread or forum, to this rather interesting question?

My interpretation is both rider and mount would need to make separate stealth checks to be hidden and that the rider would not benefit from the mounts stealth skill or shadow blend ability.

So, the rider wouldn't be able to make a stealth check to hide unless he has cover or concealment (and he can't get it from the eidolon's Shadow Blend). A successful ride check does appear to allow for cover, and you could attempt to stealth that way, but you would still have to make a separate check from the eidolon.
