I've been playing around with the idea of a Paladin of Ragathiel that due to failing to save his family from evil tends to lose it in combat. I first of all considered Sacred Servant with the rage domain or anger inquisition but neither of these seemed right and barbarian was not an option do to the non lawful problem so this is what i came up with.

Rageadin:

Dual Talented Human Wild Stalker 5 Oath of Vengance Paladin 5

Str 19 +2race(+1 lvl 4,8,)
Dex 13
Con 14
Int 08
Wis 12
Cha 16 +2race

Fort 13
Ref 09
Wil 09

Progression
Level 1 Paladin: Power Attack, Smite Evil1/day, Aura of Good, Detect Evil
Level 2 Paladin: Divine Grace, Lay on Hands 1d6(4)
Level 3 Wild Stalker: Furious Focus, Strong Senses (low light & +1 perception), Track, Wild Empathy (4)
Level 4 Wild Stalker: Uncanny Dodge Wild Empathy (5).
Level 5 Wild Stalker: Favored Terrain Urban, Endurance, Wild Empathy (6), Extra Lay on Hands (6)
Level 6 Wild Stalker: Rage 6 rounds/day, Wild Empathy (7), Spells
Level 7 Wild Stalker: Rage Power Lesser Spirit Totem, Wild Empathy (6), Extra Rage (14 rounds)
Level 8 Paladin: Divine Health, Aura of Courage, Mercy (Fatigue)
Level 9 Paladin: Channel Wrath Smite Evil 2/day Lay on Hands 2d6(7), Improved Critical (Nodachi), Spells
Level 10: Paladin: Divine Bond Weapon

So at Level 10 a Raging attack goes like this working under the assumption that i can add bonuses to the spirit totem attacks (contested issue i know but the only barbarian i've seen in a game was allowed it,)
Nodachi +16/+8 for 1d10 +18 and Spirit + 11 1d4+12

Smiting w Lead Blades +19/+11 for 2d8 +23 and +14 1d4+17

Obviously this is without gear other than his nodatchi :)

Someone notify Mikaze

I don't get it.

Silver Crusade

Oh snap. :D I never considered this combination before. (it may not quite achieve Holy Barbarian flavor due to the lawfulness, but damn if it doesn't get some of it)

On the Spirit Totems, I'm using them on my 12 CHA barbarian now, and they'll likely be more reliable as a minor offensive tool that higher CHA. If you go far enough to get it, the defensive abilities the middle totem can be very useful depending on the circumstances, like when you're moving in on an enemy with reach. I'll admit to being a bit biased towards that aspect after having it pay off big time for my character right after taking them.

Plus the visuals that can be worked into them are crazy awesome. In your character's specific case, they might very well be manifestations of your character's guilt or actual lingering spirits of his family hanging around him. In the absense of any celestial totem option at the moment, you might want to ask your GM if he's open to converting the negative energy damage of the spirit wisps to holy damage if NE doesn't quite mesh with the flavor of what you're going for(though if it does, it's a fine set of totems as is, especially considering Ragathiel's general demeanor). It results in a loss of offensive functionality against animals and such of course.

Oh thats what Glutton meant!!! :) Thanks for the input i originally saw the spirits as his lost family but i find the idea of his guilt actually manafesting and lashing out when he is enraged much better.

I think i'll swap the nodachi for a bastard sword as it is better keeping with the concept (i'll admit the nodachi was more of a minmax choice).

The idea came form me being bored and looking at stupid ways to qualify for Rage prophet (wild stalker 5 / oracle 1 and Sacred Servant (rage domain) 15 / oracle 1 respectively) and they kinda meshed together in my head as a Rageadin

Sovereign Court

Pardon me if I'm missing something, but how are you getting around the alignment restrictions? Paladins have to be Lawful Good, and Barbarians can't be Lawful.

Wild hunter is a ranger archtype that gives rage.

You could also use the Separatist Cleric archetype to take the Rage subdomain, but Wild Stalker gets you rage much faster (4 levels vs 10).

Mikaze has been looking for a paladin/barbarian cross since pathfinder started is all..

Well, there is a way to Barbarian/Monk without Martial Artist now.

Ranger, monk, paladin incoming I say.

Every time I see a Paladin build, I miss the Blackguard.

Cool concept!

Has there been an errata on what he looses for Rage Powers and Wild Talents (since on the PRD both are replacing Fav. Enemy) - or is this intentional?

If so, what happens if I only "dip" 5 levels Wild Stalker?

Ruyan.

As far as i am concerned iv'e always seen it as you trade feats and favored enemy for rage and powers. The comparison table at the bottom of the ranger entry on the srd site also shows this and it seems more balanced to me.

The idea is to use wild stalker ranger in place of barbarian so you can still be lawful.

The Enlightened Warrior race trait(available with the Adopted trait), allows you to take Monk levels while being Neutral or Neutral Good.

Right. Or with Racial Heritage.

Grand Lodge

Eating up a feat is usually a bad idea.

Remember, this is a Race trait, not a Racial trait, so Adopted totally works.

Eating a feat is bad but eating 4 levels of ranger to get a level 1 barbarian ability has to be worse :D

Grand Lodge

True.

The Race trait is the easiest path.
