Can Alchemist kits that don't have the Poison Use class feature (like the Chirurgeon) still buy and use poison in Organized Play? Last time I checked, at least, Organized Play rules say poison is restricted to Alchemists and Poisoner Rogues, but it doesn't say anything about the Poison Use Class feature per se.
Chirurgeons lose Poison Resistance +4 at 5th level to make way for Anaesthetic, but not Poison Resistance +6 at 7th, nor is that mentioned specifically. Does a Chirurgeon's Poison Resistance simply leap from +2 to +6 at 7th level, or does "+6" become +4?

How do poisons work in Pathfinder Society Organized Play?
Any character with the Poison Use class ability can purchase and use poisons. For now, they are the only classes that have a list of “always available poisons” (those noted below)—no other class may purchase poisons unless they appear on a chronicle sheet. Alchemists, ninja, and poisoner rogues may only purchase the following poisons from the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook:
Giant wasp poison
Large scorpion venom
Medium spider venom
Shadow essence
Small centipede poison
Paladins, per their code of conduct, may not use poisons, but they don’t necessarily view the use of poisons as an evil to be opposed—it’s simply something their code prohibits them from doing themselves.
The bolded part answers your question since your archetype doesn't have Poison Use (EX) you cannot buy them or use them.

"if an archetype replaces a class feature that is part of a series of improvements or additions to a base ability (such as a fighter's weapon training or a ranger's favored enemy), the next time the character would gain that ability, it counts as the lower-level ability that was replaced by the archetype."
From the Archetype SRD.
So yeah, It would become +4.
