"Try Again
You can attempt to intimidate an opponent again, but each additional check increases the DC by +5. This increase resets after one hour has passed."
Does this refer only to the influence attitude use or also to demoralize?
I understood the later to be something repeatable without penalty due to "Using demoralize on the same creature only extends the duration; it does not create a stronger fear condition." and "Demoralizing an opponent is a standard action.", which fit to a repeated use of the ability, which would be pointless if each time DC increased by 5.

I would have thought it was for demoralise when the first attempt failed. It's much harder to demoralise someone after they've shrugged off their parents smelling like elder berries.
That would make the first attempt especially important, as afterwards the effect could be kept up with repeated failures without increased DC.
As demoralize is a short term effect, i do nto think a +5 DC that goes away after 1 hour, makes much sense.

Actually I have been looking around for an answer for this for awhile, and haven't been given a straight answer.
So... Does the penalty apply to demoralize? Does The DC only go up if you fail or does it go up with every try, regardless if the previous attempt failed or succeeded?
Has this ever been addressed by errata/FAQ/official board post?

***Foul Necrothreading*****
Based on the Language, the DC goes up succeed or fail.
Seems, in Pathfinder anyway, the adage that you can only make people afraid for so long until they just don't care anymore is true.
This is, AFAIK, not an 'official' answer/errata/FAQ, but yeah, it doesn't say 'If Failed you may retry with a +5 Increase to DC' for instance.
