There is one exception to these rules: All Tier 1 scenarios and Tier 1–2 sanctioned modules are available for unlimited replay with a 1st-level character for credit. The sanctioned modules can also be played with a 2nd level character once for credit. You may continue to replay the sanctioned modules with 1st-level characters after playing through them with a 2nd-level character. GMs can receive another Chronicle sheet each time they run one of the Tier 1 scenarios or Tier 1–2 sanctioned modules. No character can ever have two of the same Chronicle—the Chronicle must be applied to a different character each time.

We Be Goblins also works.
It does, but isn't by itself enough to get characters up to level 2, so there would still need to be a couple sessions of First Steps.
I also just noticed Crypt of the Everflame is also a Tier 1. Which one would you guys recommend first, Everflame or Godsmouth?

I usually run Crypt of the Everflame when I have new groups im trying to interest in PFS (havent had any deaths yet), the trick is to ensure the players are aware of the pacing of the module and that they will need their wits about them to survive.
Only time I played Gods Mouth I was a scared as hell by one of the encounters there (I wouldnt wish that on a group of level 1's).
Another choice is to alternate them so the first set of level 1's plays crypt and the second set plays gods mouth, (gives them 2 level 2 characters each and a fair idea how the system works before letting them loose on T1-5 mods).

Alright, thanks for the help everybody. I ended up getting Godsmouth, because while both options seem good I like the setting in Varisia a little better.
In another thread, someone mentioned that a good starting story arc for PFS characters is
1 City of Strangers, Part 1
2 Godsmouth Heresy
3 City of Strangers, Part 2
Just food for thought. ;)

Whoa Jeff, is that a new star ?

New-ish. I earned it for Dawn of the Scarlet Sun a couple of weeks ago - thanks for noticing! :)
(I was going to post about it, but there's so many four- and five-star threads these days that I felt a little inadqeuate.)
Remember it is not the Size of your stars that matter, it is how you use your GM ability that does! ;)

I'm running this for my first time GMing with 3 new players and one experienced (who usually GM's) I'm finding my players get restless, though they act extremely cautiously after the first encounter nearly killed one of the party.
one fight in particular was a real grind for them
In addition to drawn out encounters, my players as 1st level lack detailed knowledge of ancient languages, local knowledge, history, religion etc. it seems to me that the checks required are so hard they will just blunder through this dungeon without ever learning anything significant about it!
As they are on the hunt for a specific mystery of where the bodies are going, you would think there would be some clues around, but the other encounters in the dungeon seem totally unrelated for the most part, and even the knowledge broker offers them practically no help. It would have been nice if there were more clues around to allow them to puzzle out what is going on.
After 2 three-hour sessions they have covered maybe 30% of this adventure, is this normal?

Maybe this might be more at home in the GMs' Discussion section of the forum but anyway.... :-). I once had a wonderful time playing a module 'The Cult of a The Ebon Destroyers' which took over 8 sessions to run! That being said we reckon we can run TGMH in a single day at a convention without rushing or playing late. So if the pace feels right: then great, if not then the module is certainly designed to go faster!

I'd recommend three 4 hour slots to run Godsmouth, or less if you skip the roleplay with the Pharasmans and start out straight in the Ossuary.
The only encounter I've ever killed anyone with was...

TGMH easy! Thrakash smash. They say, Thrakash, you get two con time slots to smash it! Me not know what that means, so me think... only get two chances to smash? Go smash! So thrakash go smash, a lot more than two times. Almost finish in what they say first smash slot. But not. Number-y wizards say took 5 hours. Lot of smash in that hours. Good, fun smash!
