*aside* He still thinks the illusion we faced was the real enemy and the gnome was the spell.

Illusion big, gnome small. Why big illusion listen to runty gnome?

But Grod, how do I know it time to poop? I don't want to walk all the way to the bathroom for nothing. Feeling lazy today.

Grod know it time when Grod bum speaks.

Should I ask what Grod's bum says when it speaks?

No, I think maybe I'll "pass" on that question. . .

He mentions tons of powers/feats for which there is no build that could contain them all (ragelancepounce and spell sunder alone would pretty much eat up your entire feat/rage power alotment).

Of course I'm delusional! What would you expect from a tiny piranha trying to befriend someone like Grod?

The Exchange

Hey Grod! Catch!

Piranha? Perfect. Try this.

Hey Grod! This fish will eat anything you put in front of it. Or anyone.

Dear Grod,

I joined the navy to see the world. I've seen it. Now how do I get out?

((Without getting into extreme detail, I think a fun and powerful build is to go with the Breaker archetype. This forsakes some mobility of the Barbarian for increased skill in sundering and breaking objects. You then take every feat you can find that is Sunder related as you level.

You eventually find yourself in a position where anything armed with a weapon isn't much of a threat to you, and you can sunder your way through stone walls quite easily.

You also have the ability to use a broken object as though it was not broken, meaning you can smash a BBEG's weapon and then pick it up and use it against him.))

Grod, you appear to have undergone some sort of magical possession here. Is it your intention to seek and subsequently smash those responsible? Could you comment on any after-effects you might be experiencing?

GROD, WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN US

Scanning the messageboards, the name Grod snapped me to attention. I was once in a band with a guy named Larry back in 88-89, and two of the other band members called him Grod. When I asked what the name meant, they told me "Gross Replica of Debris" and then later created a four page booklet of specific words and phrases to use for and around Larry. "Oh Grod." "Grodzilla" and about a hundred others. Just like the kind of Grod for God substitution you see in this thread.

In their defense, whatever a gross replica of debris may be... Larry wasn't doing anything to resist embodying the label. And bizarrely, he seemed to like the extra attention.

Shout out to 12 steppers: "Grod give me the smash to smash what I cannot smash."

That'd be a pretty accurate epithet. Grod can certainly smash what others cannot.

Thank you, Brad the Bard. It's easy to compose epithets with Grod in my corner.

"SMASHING CORNER TO BEEEEETS!"

Is Grod so powerful that he can build something even he can't smash?

The Exchange

I don't think Grod can build things...

Grod can build a pile of rubble.

Grod! Long time no write.

Krom am wonder where good place to buy stretchy purple pants?

Grod is a psychic gorilla in the DC unviverse, I chose it because it seemed like the name of one of flesh's characters.

I'm starting to wonder if since I created the character, I can get an injunction to stop Flesh from using it... I think it would be good for his mental health, I'm really afraid he's going to start talking like this IRL.

and no, I didnt flag the posting, I actually think its pretty funny, I still wouldent ever want this character in one of my games, but its funny here.

Actually, that's Grodd. And you were close. He's one of Flash's characters. =)

I like wordplay <_<

A better question is if he can smash something into pieces so small even he can't smash them.

Why, Grod, why?

baalbamoth wrote:

Agreed. Until Grod puts a rank in a Craft skill that isn't "broken things", he's banned in my games as well. Make some baskets, for Gargamel's sake! What is a barbarian without baskets?!

A basketcase?

Over a week now and no answer from Grod. I think Grod is dead. Which is perfect because now we can elevate him to godhood! A deity "stat block" then:

"The All-Smasher", Grod, (pronounced GROD or gr-OOOOOOOOO-dhh whilst raging) is the god who makes sure smashing doth occurs.

WHERE AM GROD?!?!?

AM PALADIN JUST HERE, AND GROD NO SMASH!

WHERE AM AM PALADIN FOR SMASHING?!?!?

The Exchange

Hey look, a large and unprotected castle. Doesn't it just make you want to smash it?

I'm quite upset. What if I had a good question for Grod? What would I do now?

...

Grod, if I have a question for you and you're not here, who do I ask?
