Eidolon Weapon Training Evolution

If I choose my 1st feat for a biped eidolon to be Simple weapon prof, would the Weapon Training Evolution get the "upgrade" version of martial if I selected it or would it be a simple doulbe-up and be useless?

I can honestly see it both ways...was curious if anyone had any specific rules sources they could think of.

RAW it requires you to doubleup simple because how its worded

But a flexible GM might let you upgrade.

honestly It would be worth considering a level dip in a class that grants martial weapon prof and problem solved.

yeah there is no good option if you want martial weapon prof unless you pay the 4 evo points

unless of course you just pickup a feat for specific martial or exotic weapon you want to use then you don't need general martial weapon prof
