Best build to use Final Embrace tree

After speaking with my DM, he's alright with me rolling up a Nagaji and counting it as Serpentfolk for the purpose of qualifying for the "Final Embrace" tree. I'm trying to sort out the best way to make use of that.

It mostly looks like I'd either want to go with a Maneuver Master Monk or a Lore Warden. What does the community at large think?

This is probably just a repeat of the general "best grappler" threads, but I can live with that.


One word. Synthesist.

...Though a dip in maneuver master monk is useful.


The Tetori is the only class with a grapple that cannot be escaped without winning the combat maneuver battle. Have fun completely shutting down any full caster.


The (White Haired) Witch is the best class for this tree, and race doesn't even matter since they get the constrict ability as a class feature at 2nd lvl. My WHW4/Kensai Magus4/Brawler Fighter2 is fully spec'd as a grappler with IUS/IG/GG and Final Embrace. With the Feral Combat Training Feat, the Monk's Robes and Demonspike Pauldrons he deals 2d8+14 with his grapple. With enlarge person it goes like this:

Round 1:
Swift - Spend 1 Arcane pool point to enhance hair
Move - to enemy
Standard - Attack with hair (hitting @ +16) Gaining free Grapple & Trip
Free - Grapple with hair @ +33 for 4d6+26 constrict dmg (I'm not Grappled)
Free - Trip +17 and provokes AoO with Vicious Stomp
Free - AoO @ +20 for 2d6+12 & another free Grapple
Free - Grapple @ +37 for 4d6+26 constrict
Free - Spout Pun

Round 2:
Move - Maintain Grapple @ +42 for 100 dmg by spending Arcane Pool Point for max dmg with Perfect Strike Kensai Feature.
Standard - Grapple @ +42 for another 100 dmg...Finishing move

Scarab Sages

Tetori is the best because it can shut down any magical escape and isn't grappled itself while grappling.

For extra points: Get a King Crab familar for an extra +2 on grapple checks. Worship Falayna and take celestial obedience for another +4 on grapple checks.

With Improved and Greater Grapple, plus those feats, and the +4 for grab you get from Final Embrace, that's +14 to grapple checks not even counting your CMB, STR, or Size Bonuses.

Prerequisites >>> since non of the players are naga.... you need constrict to get it and... you GAIN constrict with the feat...

Final Embrace (Combat)
Your coils are particularly deadly, allowing you to constrict opponents of your size or smaller.
Prerequisites: Str 13, Int 3; naga, serpentfolk, or creature that has the constrict special attack; base attack bonus +3.
Benefit: You gain the constrict and grab special attacks. Your constrict attack deals damage equal to your unarmed strike or primary natural weapon melee attack. Further, you can grab and constrict opponents up to your size.
Normal: You can grab and constrict creatures one size smaller than you.

Scarab Sages

It's possible to get this with a belt of anaconda's coils, or a two level dip of White Haired Witch. This is useful to a Tetori, as those constrict attacks have specified damage, where as a Tetori, you can use you unarmed strike damage with the constrict granted by the feat. A well built Tetori with this feat is terrifying.
