Harrower guide?

Advice

Anyone know of a guide for someone that wants to play as a harrower?

I don't know of one myself, but I'd be interested in seeing one.

Some ideas about the class:

-the more spells you cast, the more you'll be able to use your Harrow Casting ability. Sorcerers and caster-built oracles will love this, but any casting-focused character should be able to do this well. By the time you're level 6, a dedicated caster should be casting spells every round they can, so a wizard, witch, druid, or cleric should be able to pull this off just fine.

-class skills are close to a sorcerer, so using a different base class will net you an advantage there.

-all of your abilities require a harrow deck so keep it safe! Get a second one to keep on your person and maybe a third in the cart/base.

-this might change depending on your DM, but I'd rule that you could keep your deck in a special pocket and use one hand to draw cards. Some DM's might require you to use both hands, so that could get a bit tricky.

-you're gonna be getting at least 3 divination spells and its kinda the main theme of the prestige class, so why not get Spell Focus: Divination? Diviner's Delving isn't a bad option either.

-choose/prepare a lot of spells that will be effected by your Harrow Casting (pretty obvious, I know)

1 person marked this as a favorite.

It's a straight upgrade for an Adept and one of the few prcs they qualify for "on time" and keep casting if you care about that.

Thanks guys for answering.

A guide would still be wonderful if there is one.
