Spells to protect your spellbook.

Advice

So, I'm looking through d20pfsrd.com to find spells that protect your spellbook. So far I have the following (roughly divided into active spells and passive spells).

Active Spells
Champion of the tome (3pp)
Explosive runes
Fire trap
Phineus' writhing tentacles (3pp)
River of blood (3pp)
Sepia snake sigil
Venomous pages (3pp)
Symbol of X

Passive Spells
Approaching wizard (3pp)
Ethereal library (3pp)
Illusory glue (3pp)
Illusory script
Oozing script (3pp)
Secret page

Are there any other spells that people like to use to protect their spellbooks, or other good tricks for spellbook protection?

The Exchange

I found:
Book ward
Blot

Ironpage (3pp)
Obscure text (3pp)

Thanks. I found a few more as well

Glyph of Warding
Antipathy
Obscure Object
Phantom Trap

Quote:
The object on which the explosive runes were written also takes full damage (no saving throw).

Yeah, a number of the active defenses are going to rely on any other protections the caster might put on the item. For explosive runes, you might want to put a Book Ward on the book first, or make the book out of a material that can take a blast.

You've seen that sign "This house protected by Smith & Wesson"...

My spellbooks are protected by Evocation.

Go ahead, make my day.

Wouldn't the best protection be multiplication? Just leave dozens of them strewn about, all over the place. Who cares if you lose one then?

That's why, once you get access to extra-dimensional storage, you should start making your spell-book out of wafers of adamantine.

For those interested, I used some of the suggestions made here in my conversion of Bastion Press's Ink & Quill spellbook/scroll variant creation rules. I've taken a certain amount of creative license when doing this update, as between 3.0 and 3.5 there were a number of things that needed to be reconcilled, and there were a number of holes caused by the edition change. Most numbers used in the original needed to be recalculated/rebalanced, and I'm certain I've made a number of errors or inconsitencies. If you want to take a look and/or point out my mistakes, then you should check out
