I'll name my next Great Druid "Patton."

Sweet. Blitzkrieg. For real.

Glad to see Tesla's papers finally made their way from Drawer 79 to a lab...

The best part of this is that they were trying to make a laser gun and got a lightning cannon instead.

So we have railguns and PPCs now. Battletech, anyone?

They need to work on the three-layered armor envelopes, but yeah, we're taking our baby steps into TL 9.

I'm stuck with going the "immortal cannibal" route, you're a dragon.

You've been SLACKING!!

Or have you been investing in eateries instead of technology development? *squints sideways at Sharoth*

All that petty change and not a lick towards your TL 15... tsk tsk.

Although I freely admit, TL 14 is my favorite. TL 15 = better of as cavemen. ^__^

~gives a chubby innocent dragon look~ Eateries? Who? Me? ~slowly backs away from the thread~

Why is TL 14 better than TL 15? It has been a while since I browsed the various TLs.

Ok, tell me no one using that thing has said...

1.21 Jiggawatts!

Now we just have to get walking tanks to put the weapons on...

Oh...Cheng hold this, please
<hands him a NARC beacon and walks way quickly>

Dyson Spheres, rapid self-repairing stuff, total conversion power ... mmmm, total conversion. Mr Fusion without the pesky radiation, small enough to replace power cells in some versions. Feed trash into your power plant - even sewage. Cadmium (if memory serves) makes an ideal fuel source due to its density and cost-effectiveness.

I thought TL 15 was the point where tech is so advanced it's indistinguishable from magic?

By the way: are we discussing BattleTech scale, Traveller scale (which I think was changed a few times between editions), Gurps 3rd edition scale or Gurps 4th edition (hint: we don't speak about 4th edition, as it ends at TL12 with 13+ being anything beyond TL12) or Alternity scale?

I was talking GURPS 3rd edition.

TL 15 is "pouf you die, pouf you live, pouf everything" - boring.

Republic of the Sphere 4 life!

The Exchange

House Steiner-Davion! FTW!

+1

This part just made me shake my head-

"But the idea joins a growing arsenal of possible futuristic weapons such as the Navy's railgun superweapon capable of hurling hypersonic projectiles over 50 to 100 miles, or the Army's hypersonic weapon for striking targets anywhere on Earth within an hour."

Which would still give the guy we are actually fighting, a dude with an AK47, an extra 59 minutes more than he needs to fade back into the local population.
