I want my Human Fighter to have Spell Resistance as his Will Saves are going to be absolutely abysmal, so I went with the Adopted Social Trait and chose the following:
Magic Resistant: Some of the older dwarven clans are particularly resistant to magic. Dwarves with this racial trait gain spell resistance equal to 5 + their character level. This resistance can be lowered for 1 round as a standard action. Dwarves with this racial trait take a –2 penalty on all concentration checks made in relation to arcane spells. This racial trait replaces the hardy racial trait.
Is this allowed because I'm unsure on what you can and can't take with the Adopted Racial Trait, but I can see this as being fine (personally), because it's not like the Half-Orc one where your body changes to grant you Tusks etc.
Thanks for the help. :)

Adopted: You were adopted and raised by someone not of your actual race, and raised in a society not your own. As a result, you picked up a race trait from your adoptive parents and society, and may immediately select a race trait from your adoptive parents' race
Why yes it is. As weird as that may seem.
EDIT: Reading fail on my part. No this is not legal.

It's confusing...
A "Race Trait" is a type of trait which was introduced in the Advanced Player's Guide. It is roughly equal to a half-feat. There are actually no dwarf "Race Traits" in the Advanced Race Guide.
A "Racial Trait" is part and parcel of a race. There are lots of "Racial Traits" introduced in this book.
The Adopted Trait opens up one "Race Trait" and as such doesn't really tie in with this book at all.

That's so weird. So, it's not legal, but there are two racial types (Race and Racial).
Shame really because if you were brought up with Dwarves who have Spell Resistance, surely they gathered that resistance through knowledge, not mentally from their own natural born abilities.
I'd really love to go with Crimson's answer, but I guess that's just wishful thinking. :(
Still, I guess things will get interesting when my guy has +3 Wisdom at level 17.
Granted he'll be a Cohort for my current Kingmaker character (provided he keeps surviving), but as far as I know Cohort's don't get Traits, so with his -2 Wisdom score, he'll have the grand total of +3 Will at level 15 and with a score that low, there's simply no point in taking Iron Will. XD

Yes, they have a few naming issues.
I'm personally of the opinion that all the Craft Magic X feats you should be renamed to Enchant Magic X. Or Imbue or something.
If your GM is lenient, perhaps he'll let you swap out one of the better Human Racial Traits, like your bonus feat, for the Dwarven one. For legal methods you could always just get an item that grants spell resistance. Expensive, though.

Maybe you are just trolling.
It's early here and my brain isn't fully functional yet. Also, I posted before scrolling through the rest of the thread.

Edit: I do not troll. If I'm looking to start a fight, I do so without being subtle. Ask Sebastian.
