Improved Critical: Ray?

So there was talk about how you could take Weapon Focus: Ray.

... So what about Improved Critical: Ray? Or did someone already suggest this and I just have terrible searching abilities?

It works but I'm not sure it's a worthwhile feat investment unless you use a lot of rays.

Actually, I just found out there's been a FAQ/Errata about this for at least 2 or so years. Derp...

Its good for wilders, but with 1/2 bab sor/wiz have a long wait

FAQ: Do rays count as weapons for the purpose of spells and effects that affect weapons?
