What feat selection will you suggest for a Samsaran Rogue/ Soulknife character for the Skull & Shackles AP. The player wants to go Rogue 1/ Soulknife the rest, and use rhe two mindblade style and since none of my group have used psionics before we cannot help him that much... So for those who have he would be grateful for some pointers on which psionic and non psionic feat can go well with his character which is basically a pirate Psylocke from Marvel.

The new Soulknife is closer to a Fighter or Barbarian in style. The bladeskills are basically just subbed in for feats or rage powers. As the Soulknife does not get the ability to manifest anything this is the easiest way to think of it.

Instead of weapon training or bravery the Soulknife gets free magic weapon(s) that powers up as the Soulknife levels.

Edit: My suggestion is to fill in on the two-weapon fighting tree...

Two-weapon slice, two-weapon rend, two-weapon defense, etc.

See if you can convince him to get at least a 13 in WIS.

The reason for this is the "Psionic Meditation" Feat, which has 13 WIS and 4 ranks of Autohypnosis as a prerequisite.

Psionic Focus is a component of the revamped psionics classes that basically does nothing on it's own, is activated as a full-round action, and lasts until you get knocked out or go to sleep at night. However, a number of class abilities and psionic feats are either activated or augmented by your psionic focus.

The Soulkinfe class is able to recharge their Psychic Strike power as a Swift action (instead of a move action) by suspending their Psionic Focus. The Psionic Meditation feat will speed up how long it takes to regain Psionic Focus by dropping it from a full-round action to a movement action.

I would suggest looking into the Warmind PrC for up to 5 levels. Sweeping Strikes can be amazingly useful on both multiple target fights and large+ creatures. Being able to choose 2 squares where your attacks resolve equally amps up your combat ability as psychic strike basically gets doubled up (either 2 different targets or the same large target via 2 different squares). Toss in 2 free action insight bonus bumps & some misc. psionic powers and a combat character gets some decent utility as well.

In 3.5 I ran a similar character with monk/soulknife and was going to go warmind but the campaign fell apart before getting to the "sweet spot" (both classes were Medium BAB so it took longer to get into the PrC as well as needing to hit certain levels for some desired class abilities/feats). Excellent saves, flurry of blows with sweeping strikes, as well as wisdom synergy (AC as well as bonus power points) and things would have come along nicely.

I'm currently playing a Soulknife in a game. I'm going the two-handed weapon route. I've decided to multi-class into 2 levels of Psion (Nomad) and then jump to a PRC as a Elocater. I'll end up with a supremely mobile striker that can hit moderately well once he gets where he is going. The bonuses a Elocater gets on his flanking attacks is very nice. For the damage boost its very hard to say "no" to the Collision enhancement on your weapon.

Having Played a soulknife Elocater, I can tell you it's GREAT FUN.

Although, using a two handed mindblade, and the elocater's base powers, it took me a while to realize I had created Kagato from Tenchi Muyo.

It was VERY effective.
