Might of the gods?

Rules Questions

A few questions about this divine power.

Might of the Gods (Su): At 8th level, you can add your cleric level as an enhancement bonus to your Strength score for a number of rounds per day equal to your cleric level. This bonus only applies on Strength checks and Strength-based skill checks. These rounds do not need to be consecutive.

How long does it take to activate?
Is it a standard action?
Can it be used to break a grapple?
Does this apply to attack and damage rolls?

By the rules, it's a standard action.

No clue about how long it's intended to take.

It would not apply to attack / damage, nor would it to apply to combat maneuvers.

From the way it's wrtitten it's something you just activate, no action.

Again, no action.

No. Strength checks usually involve breaking something and maybe lifting things.

No. Checks and skill checks only. No mention of attacking,

Supernatural abilities either work all the time (which is clearly not the case as it has daily limit of use) or are activated as a standard action unless specifically noted otherwise.

But it usually is noted that it takes a standard action judging from the other domain abilities that state it.

The general rule is that all supernatural abilities are a standard action unless stated otherwise in the description. This doesn't state otherwise, although I'm not convinced the intent is that it's a standard.

By the rules you use the general rule unless otherwise stated and Might of the Gods does not state otherwise.

Anyway, we can all probably agree that for 8th level domain power it is not very impressive. I think that changing it to a swift action should not be a problem.
