A mascot change has been long overdue.
What sayest thou?
If you're going to put forth a statement like that I'd say you need to back it up. Why? What's wrong with the mascot that's become iconic? What's the point in change for change's sake, or are you anticipating some benefit in change? It's your proposal... let's hear what you think.

Good points.
I feel that the Goblin is already used as an unofficial mascot, showing up on T-Shirts, buttons and other things.
My main reasoning is that, in my opinion, the community has embraced the Goblin. I've seen many threads and comments about Goblins. Pathfinder Online is through Goblinworks. There's a Goblins of Golarion book.
I haven't seen anything like that for Golems.

That sort of rebranding can have serious consequences in the publishing world over and above that of most other industries. I don't see it happening unless it happens during a core rule shift.
That's not likely for a long, long time.
Goblinworks was able to run with the Goblin because it is a new company with a new product line. It maintains some relationship to Paizo in terms of content, but it is significantly different in terms of everything else. Honestly, that was the best case scenario for a Goblin mascot.

Full disclosure: when I replied to this I didn't notice the word used was goblin. Paizo's use of "The Golem's Got It" is so ingrained and iconic for me that I literally mis-read the thread title that way, figuring you were just tired of the byline.
That in and of itself tells me: should not be changed.

The Pi golem never had stats anyway.... its a play in the pronouceation of the company's name. I think at this point it carries with it some brand recognition. Especially if one picks upa dragon mag or dungeon mag, and then looks up the company.....
Never realized that was the reason behind the shape. Man I feel stupid.
