Okay I am Helping my wife make a Lvl 10 Strix Barbarian Alchemist. so far so good. She has chosen Feral mutagen and Infuse Mutagen as her discoveries. She has Lesser Fiend Totem, Fiend Totem and, scent as rage powers. She wants a feat to use her wings as a natural attack as well. I am sure this can be done but not sure what feat I should have her take and weather the wings wound be primary or secondary attacks? I am also not sure if the Gore attack is primary or secondary. any way thanks for the feed back. FYI the character name is Harpette.

As far as I know, there are no feats a character can generally pick up to allow wings to make natural wing attacks. However, if you were to invest a level or two as a Synthesist summoner, you can effectively gain wings and wing attacks through evolutions of your eidolon power armor (the strix's wings and body would be enveloped in a translucent armor of a chosen shape and form, so just choose a 'Strix'-shaped eidolon armor). If you choose to go the regular summoner path, you'd have to invest in a whopping 18 levels in summoner to pick up Greater Aspect, allowing your summoner to apply 6 evolution points to their physical form.
As for the attack types, a wing attack is secondary, and a gore attack is primary, as per the universal monster rules natural attack table.

the other option is to write out a feat for a Strix character to apply wings to combat. Hum something like
Prerequisites: Wings or Tail
Benefit: Make a natural Attack as a secondary attack using these extra appendages 1D6 for medium size creatures 1D4 for small creatures.
Special:Monks can use these attacks as part of there flurry of blows.
something like this anyway.

Wings in general are very bad to use as shields. They have a large surface area to hit, but a weak support frame. Tell her to think of wings as massive hands. They tend to have a few thin, fragile bones for structure and some skin for shape, but that's about it. If her wings get hit, it's gonna hurt. This is the same rationale (I think) that requires a fly check when hit in flight.
However, they do make excellent natural umbrellas and cozy blankets. :)
Side note: I'm so happy to see someone else playing the Strix. For a while there I thought I was alone in loving them.
