I picked the issue back up, and flipped through it reading idly, until I came accross the seraphic Cohort, a fighter archetype that gives up all fighter bonus feats, in exchange for an eidolon, as if he were an equal summoner level. There's a little more fine print (Such as, you have to build towards the angel base form. D: ) but otherwise, seems pretty awesome. But not having as much experience as I'd like with martial characters, or summoners, is it too awesome? You're getting the full power eidolon as a summoner were, and most of the class features of the fighter, just not the rbead and butter of the class. I'd definitely like to try this for a change of pace, but I understand a lot of the ahte summoners catch.

It's on the powerful side, IMO. You're basically a two-man army.
Yeah, I can see that, and I know it's a bit early for many people to have tried it, but I was hoping for some ammunition to use to try and display it properly. I mean, yeah, you get a full BAB, and some weapon/armor training. but those feats, it feels... WRONG, to be playing a martial without some form of bonus feats. What you get for levelling is what you get, that's it.
Though an Eidolon can really even that out, and even cover some magical aspects for you, so I guess it evens out.
I see it being powerful, but not really moreso than say an optimized summoner. Less squishy, but the summoner spells and abilities are nice.

I should've said "It's on the powerful side for a fighter, IMO".
Granted, I wanted to do the exact same thing that the Seraphic Cohort fighter did, but for paladins...
You can ask to playtest it, and if things go wrong, you can change characters :D
Then send the info to KQ.
Probably will do it. Plenty of room to tweak too, if you wanted to change the flavor away from Angelic.
Hmm, will probably invest heavily in the disguise skill, duplicates of eachother. That'll be sure to be funny. :p
