Ranger(6) + Archery combat style + Opalescent White Pyramid + Wayfinder = Point Blank Master eligible?

Rules Questions

Grand Lodge

I have searched and cannot find the relevant rules regarding the following scenario. This may be a generic Pathfinder rule question, but since my character is PFS, I'm asking it here.

I am a ranger with the archery combat style.

Point Blank Master feat

Special: Starting at 6th level, a ranger with the archery combat style may select Point Blank Master as a combat style feat, but he must have Weapon Focus instead of Weapon Specialization in the selected weapon.

Opalescent white pyramid: Weapon Focus with the stone's keyed weapon.

My question becomes, can the Weapon Focus (composite longbow) obtained from the resonant power of an ioun stone in a wayfinder be utilized as the prerequisite for Point Blank Master for a Ranger > 6 level?

I know it's expensive but it is difficult to fit Weapon Focus into into my feat progression.

In general, abilities granted by items are not considered when determining the meeting of prerequisites. I have no immediate reference for this, but I suspect someone will have one handy.

It's kinda of a dead point since you won't have enough Fame befor level 6 to buy a 10,000 gp item. But let's just say you find it on a Chronicle or some other way.

To answer your question, Yes.

But at any time you no longer have that Ioun stone or wayfinder you lose access to the Point Blank Master feat until you regain Weapon Focus from another source.

If you lose one link of a feat chain, all other feats thereafter that use the lost feat as a pre-req becomes inhert. You cannot replace the inhert feats.

Why won't he have enough Fame by level 6? To get to level 6 you need to play 15 scenarios. Assuming that you get 2 Fame each time you play (which honestly is not that unreasonable), you will have a total of 30 Fame which gives you a 11,750gp limit. Even if you assume he screws up his faction missions 3 times he will still have enough to get it.

I did actually have 30 fame at level 6 which gives buying power of 11,750G. I hear they are making it much tougher with season 4 scenarios though.

Sounds possible, but for safety, I guess I'll ask my Venture Captain next time I see him and stick with his ruling.

Cire,

In general, non-inherent bonuses that are permanent (in terms of the game), can be used to meet feat prerequisites (there have been multiple discussions on this, specifically in regards to the Gloves of Dexterity/Belt of Incredible Dexterity being used to meet the Dex requirement for Improved Precise Shot), so, if the wayfinder/Ioun stone combo is considered a permanent bonus, then it would meet the requirements.

Note, however, that a magical bonus needs to be in effect for 24 consecutive hours, and remain in effect, in order to be considered to be permanent.

Apparently, a belt or headband is considered to be something that can be worn even while sleeping. As a wayfinder is unslotted, I am not sure it can be considered something that can be maintained continuously non-stop.
