Barbarian question: Raging Vitality + Renewed Vigor

Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

If a barbarian has the Raging Vitality feat, he can continue raging even after dropping to negative HP. Can he then use the Renewed Vigor rage power to heal himself while unconscious?

My barbarian just advanced a level, and he's gone down to negatives twice recently, because he's tanks a lot against heavy hitting foes. I'm just thinking this would be a good way to get back in the fight faster than waiting for someone else to get to me with a heal.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

This does not work.

If your hit point total is negative, but not equal to or greater than your Constitution score, you're dying.

A dying character immediately falls unconscious and can take no actions.

A dying character loses 1 hit point every round. This continues until the character dies or becomes stable.

Benefit: As a standard action, the barbarian heals 1d8 points of damage + her Constitution modifier. For every four levels the barbarian has attained above 4th, this amount of damage healed increases by 1d8, to a maximum of 5d8 at 20th level.

Ok, that makes sense. I was hoping that since I could keep raging while dying, I could do this, but I guess not. Thanks.

endurance/diehard should solve that one though
